Our thoughts are with you all. Shirley was like a second mum to me after my own mother died. Always there for a chat and to share some advice. You will be missed and always in our hearts. Rest in love Shirley xxx
A very sad day when two friends part after 80 years, just eleven when we met at Intermediate.A loyal friend,Shirley and I didn’t argue but we just talked well Shirl did anyway ! Our married lives were spent living miles apart, but we never lost touch, many regular letters, many long phone calls, and the occasional visit not nearly enough. Our family have very fond memories of Aunty Shirl, she was “fun” they didn’t always understand her big words, but she laughed a lot ! who could ask for more. So Shirl you’ve run your race. “ beat me again”. Bob is waiting say Hi from the Brewsters Go with love 💕
God Bless
Norma and Gordon
To our family Shirley was the fun, chatty Aunty figure who could talk about absolutely anything – a real walking encyclopaedia with a wonderful way with words. She brought warmth, laughter and conversation wherever she went.
My Mum (Norma) and Shirl shared a rare and treasured friendship spanning 8 decades, with many special memories shared between both families.
Our Aunty Shirley will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
Until we meet again, rest in peace, with love from us all the Brewster family xxx
Dear Janet and David, Donald and Rosa, and family. So sorry for your loss of Shirley. I feel I had my own special friendship with Shirley, she loved giving me a hard time! In the best way of course. Her humour and wit will be missed. Lots of love.
