WEBSTER, Ian Edward:
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by much love, on Monday 21st September at the age of 88 years. Dearly loved husband of Margaret, devoted father of Brent and Daryn (Cambridge), Kerrin and Keryn (Rognonas France), Christopher and Michelle (Rotorua), Michelle (Paraparaumu), and Shane (Auckland). Loved grandfather of Aston Dow, Emma and Josh Hilbert. Fur grandad to Maggie. Loved uncle of Virgina and Michael (Melbourne). The family would like to thank the staff at Charles Fleming Rest home for their amazing care and support over the last two years. A private family service has been held.

Dear Margaret, Brent, Kerrin, Shane, Christopher, Michelle and families,
I send my deepest sympathy in your loss of Ian. He was an indefatigable genealogist and researcher, especially of his Webster family line. I fondly remember our years long numerous correspondence, working on the many different branches of the Webster family tree and his meticulous attention to detail, which helped put missing links back together and may have had something to do with his brilliant career as an accountant. The highlight was meeting Ian and Margaret (and Michelle) at a long lunch in Wellington in the early 2000s. He was a mentor to me and has been and always will be, greatly missed. Rest in Peace.
