WALKER, Kay Minellen:
Passed away peacefully on 24 August 2026, in Waikanae, aged 85 years.
A much-loved mother of the late Jacky.
A deeply cherished grandmother to Kit and Lovely, Amber, and Cole, and a treasured great-grandmother.
Loved sister to John and Thea, Cliff and Maddie and Robina, and their families.
Kay was an amazing lady with a kind and loving heart. She brought warmth, laughter and love to the lives of those around her and will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.
Kay will remain at home with her family until her funeral. Family and friends who would like to spend some time with Kay are warmly welcome to visit. If you would like to bring flowers from your own garden, Kay would have appreciated this very much.
A service to celebrate and remember Kay’s wonderful life will be held at Waikanae Baptist Church on Saturday 29 August 2026 at 1:00pm.
Donations to Save the Children would be gratefully appreciated.

So very sad to know your gone now Granny. Thank you for always thinking about me on my Birthday and Christmas and sending me cards. Will cherish your caramel ball receipe, will always think of you. Rest now, lost of love – Eulah xx
We are sorry to hear of the passing of Kay. Gone to be with the Lord.
Kay was an amazing person and had a great love for children. Our youngest Samuel was Kay’s first Castle Kids enrollment.
We send our love and condolences to all her children and we will be thinking of you at this time.
Sorry we will not be at the service to celebrate her life.
