I was fortunate to work in the early 2000’s with Bob. One of the many things I appreciated about Bob was his marvelous sense of humor. He could say the most outrageous and very witty things in such an amusing way. You could tell he was joking because of the twinkle in his eye and slight grin.
When I became ill, I shared an office with Bob and saw another side of him – not only was he very witty but utterly compassionate, understanding and sincere. I consider myself very fortunate to have known Bob – he was the best.
I first met Bob at MOW Central Labs in 1973 and worked at the same place as him for over 40 years. Bob was one of several motorcycle enthusiasts at Central Labs
Bob was the proud owner of a Honda CB500 at the time
We all know that Bob had a sarcastic sense of humour and didn’t normally tolerate people who were not up with the play (like me as an 18 year old in 1973)
However that same year when my motorcycle engine disintegrated Bob very kindly guided me through the engine repair and even loaned me some tools. It all turned out well
Everyone respected his knowledge and willingness to help
So I salute you Bob, rest in peace
Sadly I’m not here today as I am unwell
