SISSONS, John Russell:
Departed for Heaven at 4:30am Monday 29th June 2026, aged 81, after a period of illness. Leaving behind a legacy of faith, friendship, love and joy.
Loving husband of Margaret Sissons (nee Green). Loved father of Belinda, Angela and Richard. Loved father-in-law of Trevor, Phil and Hayley. Cherished Pops of Jacob, Liana, Saul, Oliver, Grace, Marcel, Orion, Leila, Eva and the late Sawyer. Grateful thanks to the staff of the emergency department and Ward 3 at Wellington Hospital as well as the staff at Bupa Winara for their kindness and care of John.
A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at Cedarwood, 17 Parata Street, Waikanae, on Friday 3rd July at 11:00am
