Tribute

HOLLAND, William “Bill”:

Bill passed away surrounded by love on Saturday 26 September 2026 at home after a very brave battle with cancer. He was 73 years young. Bill was dearly loved by his wife and best friend Christine Harris, his daughters Emma, Robyn and her partner Craig. Much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.

According to Bills wishes, a private cremation has been held. A Memorial Celebration of Bills life will be held next week at 12.30pm on Friday 9th October at Cedarwood, 17 Parata Street, Waikanae. For those who can’t attend, a live stream can be viewed at https://shorturl.at/d9LPW. The family would like to thank Mary Potter Hospice Kapiti who took exceptional care of Bill. A donation box will be at the service.

It is with so much sadness that Bill is no longer with us.
From the first time Chris introduced me to Bill, I could see how happy he made her, how suited they were. A very kind soul, humorous and warm.
He fought a hard battle the best he could with soulmate beside him.
He will leave a big space in Chris’s life but her own strength and much loved family and friends around will continue to rally around her, not to fill this space but to give support. Please count me in here too.

Condolences also to Bills family.

Mr Bill, thank you for your love, kindness and, as always, the laughs.

I hope you passed on the Don Pedro recipe to Christine, as all good traditions must carry on.

Forever playing on God’s fairways, with plenty of golf alongside Senior Sista, Yvonne. ⛳❤️

Love and miss you always.

We were so sorry to hear of Mr Bill’s passing. Our deepest condolences to you all.
Watched the memorial service online…..beautiful, and brought back lots of great memories.
Fondly remember one after-party at Khandallah where Mr Bill was in charge of making the Dom Pedro’s. Mostly in the whizz and glasses to begin with but more on the bench, floor and walls a bit later on.
Again, our deepest sympathies.
Love from us
Dave & Daph
