BARR, Vincent Raymond:
(Derry, Northern Ireland)
On May 9th, 2026. Much loved husband, father, and grandfather. Vincent Barr died peacefully after a long illness, in his 80th year. We will all miss his generosity, kindness, intellect, and exuberance for life. Vincent lived life to the fullest, even when it was incredibly difficult. He will be sorely missed by us all, his wife of 58 years Catherine, his children Rachel and Simon, their spouses Peter and Kate, his grandchildren, Oliver, Ella, Amelia, Mia, and last but not least Niamh, all his friends, and by family here and in Ireland. He will not be forgotten.
A Celebration of Vincent’s life will be held at Cedarwood, 17 Parata Street, Waikanae on Tuesday 19th May 2026 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance https://www.wfa.org.nz/donate in Vincent’s memory would be appreciated. A special thanks to Steve, Linda, Tracey, Liz and the Kapiti Hospice team.

We were all very sad to hear of the passing of Vincent, our uncle & brother in law. Even though he lived at the other side of the world, we all have such fond memories of him on summer holidays & weddings in Ireland. Always full of life & joking, never a dull moment.
