BROOKS, Barry Hewitt: Barry died peacefully, at the age of 91 years, at home in Waikanae on Thursday, 6th June 2024. Adored husband for 62 years of the late Joan. Father and Father-in-law of Sandra, David and Christine, Kathryn and Todd. Cherished Poppa of Michael, Stephanie, Tommy, Anna and Charlie. Special thanks to the staff at Parkwood Retirement Village for their exceptional care of both Barry and Joan over the past 15 years. A memorial service for Barry will be held at Cedarwood, 17 Parata Street, Waikanae, on Tuesday, 18th June 2024, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance (www.wfa.org.nz/donate) would be much appreciated. This service will be livestreamed, and can be viewed here.
