TEMM, Francis Julien 391567: RNZAF

The next step in Julien’s long and brave journey back into the warm embrace of his beloved wife, Jean (nee Ivin), occurred when he slipped away peacefully last night at the SevenOaks Hospital in Paraparaumu. His soul and spirit are finally released to soar high in the clouds and speed towards his eternal peace. WWII Pilot, mountaineer, skier, beloved son and brother, and cherished uncle to his many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and great-grand-nieces and nephews. A funeral celebrating Julien’s wonderful and full 100 years of this life will be held in Cedarwood  17 Parata St,  Waikanae at 11.00 a.m. on Monday 28th January. Julien will be laid to rest in the Returned Servicemen’s section at Waikanae Cemetery with his beloved wife Jean who has been waiting there for him these past few years. Our heartfelt thanks go to the incredible and caring staff at SevenOaks and to all the private carers who have assisted the family over recent years in ensuring that Julien’s independence and dignity have been respected and cherished. Special and inadequate thanks also go to Jenny Williamson who has been Julien’s attentive and loving primary carer through all of his health and life trials over these past few years and without whose assistance Julien would never have been able to enjoy the quality of life and independence that he did. Donations (in lieu of flowers) to please be directed to the Kapiti Retirement Trust (SevenOaks), Lodge Drive, Paraparaumu. Any communications to be directed to his nephew at the following email address: kevin@temm.co.nz.
